Most of you would have read my previous post on Technology in Indian Wedding. When I wrote this post I had no idea that technology could play a part in wedding invitations too. When I read about a LCD invitation online I was awed.
Karnataka’s billionaire Gali Janardhan Reddy, a former politician and minister wanted to do something really different for his daughter’s wedding invitation. You can watch the video below to see how he designed it. I bet you would have not seen an invitation like this one.
As you can see the whole family is inviting people to the wedding by lip syncing and dancing to a song ” Athithi Devo Bhava”. You can see his daughter and son-in-law singing and dancing. Gali Janardhan Reddy has hired a production team to shoot this song composed for the wedding invite.He has set a new bar for the other billionaires in India. We have to see what other innovative ideas are going to bloom in future.
The wedding is going to be held in November. This invitation is just a teaser, I am eagerly waiting to see the full show.
I was just talking to a friend over coffee, a few days back on what a waste of money it is to get so expensive sarees for wedding . We hardly use them later. We waste so much money on weddings in India. Only when the Social Status tag is removed from wedding things might get a little better I guess. Hope this situation changes in future.
